Stainless steel buckles are available from 13 mm up to 50 mm for smart casual and jeans wear. Devanet manufacture a complete range of belt solutions, for men and women, with over 20 leather colour options. Custom made to order stainless steel buckles are available.
The advantages of stainless steel are numerous, hardwearing alloy, does not rust or oxidise, this is created by a barrier film that forms over the buckle against the elements and thus preventing the oxidation. The buckles are made from 304 and 316L stainless. The austenitic structure of this metal is excellent toughness even down to cryogenic temperatures.
316L stainless steel tends to work harden if machined too quickly. For this reason, low speeds and constant feed rates are recommended so it takes a litle longer to machine the buckle. 316L stainless steel is however easier to machine compared to 316 stainless steel due to its lower carbon content. Overall it is an excellent hardwearing product and ideally suited to the application of prestige belt buckles. The higher the carbon content the harder it is to machine. 304 mm stainless buckles are all custom made to order.
